AIRPORTS

An Airport’s primary feature is at least one aerially accessible, operationally active surface that can serve as a runway and landing area for aircraft takeoffs and landings. Most airports also have adjacent facilities for utilities, storage and maintenance, including control towers, hangars and terminals. Larger airports may include fixed-base operator (FBO) services, airport aprons, air traffic control (ATC) centers, emergency services, and passenger accommodations such as restaurants and lounges.

CHARTER OPERATORS

Charter Operators contract an entire aircraft as opposed to purchasing tickets for individual seats through a traditional commercial airline. Air charter companies focus on individual private aircraft and itineraries, urgent or time-sensitive cargo, and other forms of ad hoc air transportation. Some air charter operators offer an extensive selection of aircraft for all manner of business services, while others may specialize in a particular category of aircraft or service. Charter jet categories include turbo props, light jets, mid-size jets, super mid-size jets, heavy jets, and airliners.

BIZJET

BizJet  is your solution for non-aviation companies that own or operate a business aircraft with a professional flight crew. We understand how businesses leverage the utility of a business aircraft to help expand their reach, strengthen business relationships, and “get things done”. BizJet simplifies the employer’s Workers’ Compensation program by eliminating the need to separate the exposures and placement of the non-aviation and aviation operations.

Primary and intermediate flight training develops and hones basic airmanship skills in prospective pilots.

Universities may also offer classroom-based flight studies, in addition to in-aircraft training.

FBOs

Fixed-Base Operators (FBOs) are independent commercial businesses granted operations rights by an airport to provide on-site aeronautical services such as fueling, hangaring, tie-down and parking, aircraft rental, aircraft maintenance, and flight instruction. They may also offer air charter, scheduled or nonscheduled air carrier services, aircraft sales and sale of aircraft parts.

In addition, FBOs often provide a range of auxiliary services to pilots, flight crew and passengers, such as restroom facilities, communication access (telephone, Internet, fax), and waiting areas. Larger FBOs may additionally offer restaurant service, ground transportation arrangements, flight planning and weather information, rest lounges and showers, and aviation supplies.

Upholstery, cabinetry, and paint may also fall under an MRO’s scope. MROs may or may not be FAA 145 certified, but most MRO employees are trained and licensed A&P mechanics. Some MRO companies also offer sales, appraisals, and aircraft management.

Aviation General Liability

Beacon Aviation offers this coverage to protect you and your business if a third party is injured on your property or by your actions.

These policies are necessary because most commercial general liability policies will not cover aviation-related exposures.

Hull & Liability

Beacon Aviation offers this insurance to protect firms that use planes and other aircraft for business purposes. Aircraft aren’t covered under standard liability policies.

Aircraft Hull covers physical damage to an aircraft.

Aircraft liability includes coverage for Bodily Injury/death to passengers, other than passengers and third party property damage.
